Warning: Chat-inspired silliness ahead.
Disclaimer: Not mine and no one in their right minds would pay me for this.
BTW: I always imagined the Easter bunny as a spring-colored rabbit the size of a kangaroo. Happy Easter!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

by Tisea SpiritsHigh

Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.

"Dar, do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" The Beastmaster didn't turn around.

"That thumping noise," Tao answered, wondering how in the world Dar couldn't
hear that noise. "Are you sure you don't hear anything?"

Dar did look at him this time. "Tao, I don't hear anything. Are you
feeling all right?"

"I feel fine. Stop looking at me like that." Tao said, indignant.

Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.

"Did you hear that?" Dar said, finally noticing the noise.

"Yes!" Tao yelled, raising his hands in exasperation.

Dar tried to track the thumping, ignoring his irritated friend. It sounded
like it was moving closer. "Tao, get behind me." He drew his staff, and
held it in front of him in a warning position.

"What do you think it is?" Tao moved back, slightly behind his friend.

"I don't know. But it's coming closer."

"Oh."

Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.

A large pink rabbit hopped into the clearing. It looked at the two men, one
of whom was obviously holding a weapon. "Hello," it said.

Tao stared at the rabbit in shock. Finding his voice, he said, "Um. Hi.
Dar? Uh, Dar, tell you see that?"

"I see it, Tao. I'm just not sure what it is." Focusing on the rabbit, the
Beastmaster asked it "Are you magic, sorcery? We're not going to hurt you."

The rabbit laughed. "Oh, I know that. I'm the Easter bunny, you can't hurt
me."

"The Easter bunny?" Tao looked askance at Dar. "What's Easter?"

Dar shrugged. "Never heard of it."

"Oh, that's okay. You wouldn't have. This all happening because of some
chat the author had with a friend a few nights ago." Dar had slowly lowered
his staff. The Easter bunny hopped closer, and focused its gaze on Tao.
"Oh, and Tisea wanted me to give you this for Sierra." He took Dar's staff
from him and hit Tao squarely in the head with it. Dar caught Tao as he
collapsed. The Easter bunny dropped Dar's staff and hopped away muttering
about crazy fanfic authors and their crazy friends who gave them weird
ideas.

And then comfort scenes proceeded from there.

The End

Happy Easter! Dedicated to Sierra, who is completely to blame for this entire story. I told you I could put a Taowie in this story. Getting Feedback will help me make it through finals. Please help me through them, I'm gonna need it.
